Here's Our Fave Lingo From Our Fave Era!

1. A Gas: Having a lot of fun, as in “That’s a gas!”
2. Ankle biters: Little children (creepy!)
3. Bag: Meant to steal. Who bagged my wallet? Also "what's your bag?", which meant "What's your problem?"
4. Bat phone: Police officer's phone.
5. Bearded: Tricked
6. Birdie biker: Female motorcyclist.
7. Boss: Cool, fantastic, or super, as in “The new album I just bought is boss!”
8. Box: A record player.
9. Boxes: Guitars.
10. Crocked: Intoxicated.
11. Dance holes in your soles: To dance energetically.
12. Deb's delight: Eligible bachelor.
13. Deuce and a quarter: A Buick Electra 225                   
14. Gutt Waddin': Any type of cheap fast food, to fill you up and take the hunger away.
15. Keyed: Excited.
16. Mess and a half: A situation which has degenerated beyond what you can handle.

21. Paper Shaker: Cheerleader
22. Peepers: Eyeglasses.
23. Percolate!: Let it happen!
24. Pokey: Jail.
25. Poop: The latest information.
26. S.W.A.K.: Sealed With A Kiss.
27. Shuck: A phony
28. Skirt: A girl.
29. Sosh: Meaning a person who is stuck-up, snooty, and thinks they are everyone else.
30. Squaresville: A dull place.
31. Submarine Races: Parking next to a water shore to wait for the submarine races to which of course was only an excuse to park and make out (FYI there was no such thing as a submarine race)
32. Tagged: To be caught doing something wrong.
33. Tones: Phonograph records.
34. Tooling: To cruise or drive around
35. Tough toenails: Too bad. -Ha, my grandma uses "tough tacos!" as an alternative to this expression :)
36. Tuesday: Later, never.
37. Tuff: Excellent.
38. Unglued: Distraught.
39. Wax: A phonograph record.
40. Way out: Beyond explanation
41. Weeds: Cigarettes
42. Wig: The mind.
43. Wig out: To lose
44. Zot: Zero; nothing.
